So I am thinking of getting a new computer, as my home computer is now getting fairly old. If I were to get a desktop computer, I'd probably get something along the lines of a 27" iMac. If I were to get a laptop, it would probably be something along the lines of a Thinkpad X201. The problem is that I can't decide if I want to get a desktop or a laptop computer. The laptop's video card won't let me play the latest games probably, which kind of sucks. On the other hand, the desktop seems very non-portable. This wouldn't normally be a concern except that I only know where I'm going to be living for the next 6 months or so.
Dear LazyWeb, what would I do with a desktop computer, were I to move in 6 months? Could I ship such a thing abroad? Overseas?
