The Openmoko arrives

So the Openmoko Neo FreeRunner was finally released today. I have been anticipating its release for a long time. However, I don't think I'll buy it just yet. There are some things I'd like to hear about it before spending the $399.00 that it currently costs:
  1. Battery Life. I can't seem to find any good benchmarks about the FreeRunner's battery life. Unfortunately, battery life is close to being the most important concern with any electronic device that I buy.
  2. MicroSD card support. Not all cards seem to be supported and I'd like to know if my Kingston 4GB card is.
I'm sure there are other things I am forgetting, but until I hear about at least these two things, I'm going to be holding out on this purchase. The presence of only GPRS (no EDGE) in the device is also annoying but I wouldn't be using mobile data anyways since Canadian data rates are so high. If any of my readers are not as patient as I am, I would be more than happy to give your new phone a spin and I would even go so far as to encourage you to buy one now for my sake. ;)
